Greg Martin Greg wears many hats - Husband, Dad and Grandpa are his favorites. Wood Artist, Commercial Photographer, Peony Farmer, Adventurist, Hunter, Fly Fishing, Pilot are some of his others. Greg's life long career as a commercial photographer (Greg Martin Photography) is a wonderful outlet for his artistry .... until he discovered hand-turning. Now he can be found in his wood shop nestled in the hills above Fairbanks, Alaska bursting with ideas and passion for his woodwork. Greg and Sherrie have 5 children and 8 grandchildren. Beyond making their livelihood with Lathes, Lens and Camis, they spend their free time together in the kitchen making Alaska Birch Brittles, tending their peony farm, exploring Alaska and the world, and doing all they can to keep up with their kids and grandkids! He's pretty darn handy on the grill too.
Sherrie Martin Sherrie "temporarily" transplanted to Alaska in 1971 when her family relocated from Boulder, Colorado. Decades later, she's still not ready to leave the Alaskan life. She thoroughly enjoys her bra replacement business (Sheri's Camis & Curves) and helping women of all ages, sizes and shapes feel the comfort, uplifting and breast health they deserve. Sherrie is an adventurer, entrepreneur, pilot, inventor, research-aholic, and an accomplished seamstress. Her life has been immersed in arts - from teaching and performance in dance/theater to costuming and ultimately building an artistic center for her community. Affectionately known as the family travel agent, vacations often include the arts. Exploring the world's beauty is her passion, starting in her own backyard. OH, and she also loves baking.
